Privacy at Useable News
Last updated October 8, 2026.
What we collect
Your account: your email address, and the desk settings you create: Keyword Feeds, Writing Profiles, newsletters, ads and team members.
Your connections: the WordPress address, username and application password, Buffer key or webhook address you connect. Passwords and keys are encrypted and are only used to publish on your behalf.
Your content: the stories found for your feeds and the articles, images and posts written for you.
Ad clicks: when a reader clicks one of your in-article ads we record the time, the ad and the article, with no personal data about the reader.
The Useable News Clipper (Chrome extension)
The clipper sends us only the address and title of a page when you choose to send it, together with the feed you pick. It stores your personal token in your browser. It does not read your browsing history, page contents, cookies or anything on pages you do not send.
How we use it
To run your desk: find and score stories, read the original reporting, write and publish articles, create social posts and newsletters, and bill your plan. Articles are written with Anthropic's Claude and images are generated on fal.ai; they process the content needed for each request. Your content is not used to train AI models.
What we never do
We do not sell your data, we do not email your subscribers (your own email service sends newsletters), and we never insert our own ads or links into your articles.
Deleting your data
Delete feeds, articles, connections and tokens at any time from the app. To close your account and delete everything, contact us and we will do it within 30 days.
